Terms of Service
Effective date: August 25, 2026
These Terms of Service apply when you use SoundToMIDI.com, including the free audio-to-MIDI converter and optional paid Cleaned MIDI downloads. By using the service or purchasing a paid download, you agree to these terms.
1. The service
SoundToMIDI converts compatible audio into MIDI in your web browser. Raw MIDI downloads are free. A Cleaned MIDI download is an optional one-time purchase at the price shown before checkout. No account or subscription is required.
2. Your files and privacy
Your audio and generated MIDI are processed on your device. We do not keep a server copy of your audio or generated MIDI. You are responsible for keeping any files you want to use after leaving the site.
3. Paid download delivery and availability
A paid download must be completed in the same browser and on the same device used to start the purchase. Your payment may still complete even if you do not successfully return to SoundToMIDI after checkout.
The paid file may no longer be available if, for example, you:
- close the checkout page or browser before returning to SoundToMIDI;
- lose your internet connection while returning from checkout;
- clear browser or website data, use a private window that discards the conversion, or use settings that prevent the site from remembering it;
- continue in a different browser, profile, device, or computer; or
- wait until the locally saved conversion is no longer available.
Because we do not keep a copy of your audio or generated MIDI, we may be unable to restore the exact file. If payment succeeded but the download is unavailable, do not pay again. Regenerate the file if possible and email contact@soundtomidi.com. Include the payment receipt, approximate payment date and time, and amount so we can verify the purchase. Do not send your audio file or full card number.
After verification, we will provide reasonable assistance. Depending on what happened, this may include helping you try again or issuing a refund where appropriate or required by law.
4. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. The checkout page shows the one-time price and currency before you pay. We do not receive or store your full card number.
5. Your responsibilities
You may only upload or process audio that you have the right to use. You are responsible for how you use, publish, or distribute generated MIDI and for complying with applicable copyright and other laws.
6. Conversion results and service availability
Audio transcription is an automated process and may produce missing, extra, mistimed, or incorrect notes. You should review the result before relying on it. We may update, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service, but this does not remove any rights you have for a purchase already made.
7. Consumer rights
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any consumer right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded or limited. If a paid digital download is not supplied as described, contact us so we can investigate and provide an appropriate remedy.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the service changes. The effective date above identifies the current version. Changes apply prospectively and do not reduce rights attached to an earlier purchase where the law does not allow that.
